We swung quietly on the swing set, the last week we were here
I saw beavers in the meadow, I witnessed golden fields full of dear

I felt mulch crack in the frost beneath my feet

We drank the most sour wine, but the flavor turned to sweet.

A flock of geese flew through the air to return south

Can you see the rolling road and a grey sky

I'll let an image of this moment rest inside my eye.

Dissecting all the different shades and tones of green

Takes my wandering mind off of what I have seen.

I know where my feeling ends, but I'm not so sure about me

Like a raindrop living in a tactical sea

So we live our lives as parcel and part;

A tiny cell living in a planetary heart

I heard a loud errupting sorrow drift out idly from the sky

I watched the rain drops all fall down like a transcendental cry

Witnessed two droplets intersect, like a hurricane and a car.

To call the land your own, just feels foreign and Bazar.

I think that I know nothing, but I'm sure I know it all

Said I'd be gone till Spring, but came running home in fall.

There's a rapid change happening inside of me,

And I'm not talking about my autoimmune disease.

At times I find myself looking into the sunsets seeing this slightly existent

Yet basically invisible rainbow smudge of light

Permeating through the clouds as it lightly radiates into my retina.

And in this moment, I see a light at the end of the tunnel

The same way you do right before passing out

But there's never actually a tunnel in this scenario, just the white light at the end.

It envelopes all I have

And these few sun kissed seconds that I relive every day

Show me that we are eternal.

We are love.

We are in a never ending game of hide and seek with each other

Acting as perpetrator and victim,

Object and subject,

Time and space,

Static and dynamic,

Just to remind ourselves why we are.
